Our assignments have included:

Oil Refinery Turnaround, Rotterdam.  A routine oil refinery 'turnaround' was two weeks behind schedule, costing the client €14 million.  We carried out a Lessons Learnt Workshop to assist in identifying improvements for the next scheduled 'turnaround'.

Business Unit, Directors Strategic Planning Session, UK.   Facilitated seven separate planning processes assisting Senior Management of a major consultancy analyse the following issue areas, with the results feeding straight into the clients' business plan:
·         Health & Safety performance and staff mix and retention;
·         Framework mining;
·         Company overheads;
·         Project write-off’s;
·         Attainment of increased margin from key clients; and
·         Attainment of increased share of the capital maintenance budgets of key clients.

Analysis of project ‘write-off’s’, UK.  A major consultancy asked us to facilitate a session at its UK Headquarters to analyse the cause of project ‘write-offs’ and assist Senior Managers put in place actions to address this problem.

Light Rail Transit Strategy Workshop, UK.  This was for a major consultancy which had lost key staff, seen their market share fall, and needed to revisit the strategy for their national LRT teams.  

‘X’ Transportation Strategy Workshop, UK. Strategic planning workshop for a Local Authority and their consultants, that assisted the parties prepare a strategy that would enable them to deliver their transportation vision for the area by 2026.

Eastern Links Project Workshop, UK.  Consultant and client were unclear as to how best address a complex transport planning project. We carried out a strategic planning session for the Local Authority and their consultants, assisting them gain consensus understanding of the project and devise a workable project strategy.

Environment Agency work, UK.   A major consultancy had a vision to increase the amount of work they carried out for the EA. We facilitated a strategic planning workshop in order to assist them formulate a strategy that would (given their particular strengths and weaknesses) enable them to do this.

LTP3 Planning Workshop for X County Council, UK. Strategic planning workshop to assist the Client plan for the successful delivery of the required Local Transport Plan 3 to the Department for Transport.  

Rolling Works Programme – Lessons Learnt / Strategic Planning, UK. The consultant requested we facilitate a session between themselves and the Client in order to reach consensus on a strategy which would result in improved performance of this £30 million programme.

European Development Fund / National Planning Commission Secretariat of the EU, Namibia. Team Leader for the evaluation of a 10 year long waterborne sewer scheme programme in the towns of Karibi, Outjo, and Otavi. Findings of this study assisted the EDF improve future project delivery.

Australian Aid / Department of Agriculture – South Africa. Facilitation of the National workshop to develop a LandCare strategy for South Africa, as well as  well as providing 6 Provincial programme planning training courses for the National Landcare Programme. 

Danish Development Aid / Department of Water Affairs and Forestry - South Africa.  Team leader for the design and development of 3 multi-million pound environmental programmes for Danish funding to the South African Government.

BTC Pipeline Company – Turkey. Facilitated the project design process for the organisations taking part in BTC’s Environment Investment Programme.
